Martha Southgate

Martha Southgate’s new novel The Taste of Salt (Algonquin, $13.95), captures the struggles of living with alcoholic family members. The Henderson family repeats a cycle of excessive drinking that is devastating and, in many ways, unavoidable. Southgate is also the author of the novels, Third Girl from the Left and The Fall of Rome.
