John G. Jacobsen
John Jacobsen's debut novel, A Commodore of Errors (Skyhorse, $22.95), describes the attempt by the second in command at the United States Merchant Marine Academy to oust his skirt-chasing commander. Plot twists and mayhem ensue. Jacobsen, a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, spent fifteen years as a ship’s officer on cargo and passenger vessels. He is a harbor pilot in the Port of Miami and the chairman of the Biscayne Bay Pilots.
