Ana Menendez's Adios, Happy Homeland! (Grove/Atlantic, $14.00) takes the form of a creative anthology of interlinked tales, by writers conjured by Menéndez herself. A critical look at the life of the Cuban writer, Adios pulls apart and reassembles the myths that have come to define the culture.
