Thursday, Nov. 18 -Friday, Nov. 19

Comics have been an integral part of academic curricula for more than two decades. The School of Comics and Graphic Novels is designed to demonstrate how comics, and now graphic novels, can work in your classroom. Our presenters will discuss how and why the comics medium works, as well as their perspective on how they became fans of this new approach to literacy. Attendees will also be shown practical examples of how comics and graphic novels have been integrated into curricula, as well as lists of titles that work in classrooms.

Kids' Comic Con is coming back all the way from New York City to bring their road show to the Miami Book Fair International! Kids of all ages are in for a treat. So are their parents! Kids' Comic Con activities are designed to bring families together, along with artists and educators, for fun and illuminating comic book and graphic novel experiences. Guest artists and writers from all corners of the comic book and graphic novel world will present hands-on workshops, demonstrations, games, portfolio reviews and informative panels for children, teens and all those who are young forever
